About

Cherokee Gothic (allegedly) was Frank Lloyd Wright’s term for the original architecture at OU. The building shown on our masthead is a good example (a few more can be found here).

We, (Robin Grier and Kevin Grier) have been on the OU faculty since 1999. We work on, and are going to blog about, development, economic growth, and macroeconomics at this site.

Robin’s research focuses on development, especially in Latin America with an emphasis on Mexico. Her Google Scholar page is here. Her online course on Mexico for Marginal Revolution University is here.

Kevin’s work focuses more on growth and macro, though he collaborates with Robin on development research. His Google Scholar page is here.

This is us, circa 2009:

  2. I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog
    like this one nowadays.

  3. An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a coworker who had been doing a little research on this. And he actually bought me lunch simply because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending the time to discuss this issue here on your web site.

  4. Hey! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this
site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with
hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

  5. Having read this I thought it was very informative. I appreciate you finding the
time and efffort too put this short article together.
I once again find myself spending way too much time both reading and leaving comments. But sso what, it was still worthwhile!
